Diabetes and regular headaches have been linked together. Do you experience the infamous diabetes headache?

Untreated sleep apnea can result in more diabetes headaches and put a strain on your body.

The easiest diabetes headache relief is often over-the-counter painkillers for short-term pain.

If the diabetes headaches are happening often or are too intense for the over-the-counter painkillers, it may be time to speak with your doctor. Your doctor will need to tell you if your kidneys have been affected by the long-term effects that some painkillers may cause to people with diabetes.

However, to completely alleviate headaches caused by diabetes, it is important to get blood glucose levels under control and practice good diabetes management. This can involve making lifestyle changes and taking medications or adjusting medication dosages.
